Ron the Web Guy helped us update our community website and provided us with an excellent security package for less than what we were paying for a Go Daddy site with no security options. He does great work and I would highly recommend him.

With web sites, it's all about the experience. Easy navigation, staying on top of trends, making sure things run the way they're supposed to seem simple and straightforward, but often not the case. That's why we work with Ron The Web Guy. He knows his stuff. His suggestions and solutions are well thought out and executable. He's helped us improve our SEO, traffic and security. We look at Ron as a valuable business partner and look forward to his continued support and help in the future.

Ron the web guy is a great help for anything website related. I am currently learning how to manage the website myself so when i have a question about how to do something on the website he will send a how-to video or a quick explanation very promptly and willing to fix anything I manage to mess up lol. He is great at training me to let me spread my wings and fly on my own which I love and appreciate!

Frequently asked questions

How much does web design cost for a small business?

A custom WordPress website starts at $995 for a simple 3–5 page site, with most full business websites running between $1,500 and $8,000 depending on the number of pages, functionality, and whether eCommerce is included. Managed hosting starts at $29.95/month. Every project starts with a free consultation and a written proposal — no mystery pricing.

Do you work with businesses outside Washington state?

Yes. Ron the Web Guy designs, hosts, and does SEO for small businesses across all 50 states. The workflow is fully remote — strategy, design, and communication all happen via phone, email, and screen share. Most clients never meet in person regardless of location. If you’re a small business owner anywhere in the US, the process is the same.

How long does it take for SEO to work?

For most small business websites, expect initial ranking improvements in 4–8 weeks and meaningful traffic gains in 90–120 days. Local SEO moves faster than national SEO — competition in a mid-size or small city is less entrenched than in major metro markets. Google Business Profile optimization and local citations can produce visible map pack movement within 30 days when the fundamentals are in place.

Does my business need a WordPress website?

WordPress is the right choice for most small businesses. It has the deepest SEO plugin ecosystem available — over 60,000 free plugins in the official WordPress.org directory alone (WordPress.org, 2026) — and keeps your content and data under your control, not locked inside a Wix or Squarespace subscription you cannot export. The main exception is businesses that need enterprise-scale eCommerce, where WooCommerce or Shopify may be more appropriate. A free consultation will tell you which platform fits your business.
